Sami Maoudj (age 11) has become a Playbusters' Young Volunteer! Sami wanted to share his story about what he's been busy doing!
“I am now a young volunteer and I work for the environmental group, neighbourhood improvement and allotment history project. I got a badge and a Playbusters t-shirt and I fill in my timesheet each time I volunteer.”
Environmental Group
"We were making a birdfeeder and Reuben made a Valentine's Gift. I tried to make a robot but my hands got stuck with glue! James helped me clean them by using butter to stop them sticking, then I washed it off with water. Lucy helped me to make a bag.”
Neighbourhood Improvement
“We cleaned up the streets. In the clean-up my mum had two smelly bags from the rubbish she picked up so everyone moved away from her!”
Allotment History Project
“We talked to the plot holders about the history of the allotment. My mum and Lynne were writing what we recorded on the tape from what people said.”
