Commonwealth Art Project

This project has been carried out by muti award winning artist Jim Scullion in partnership with Fair Sporting Masters. The original concept was to provide young people with a variety of artistic techniques using the theme of the Commonwealth Sports.

While it is recognised that football is of high importance to young people we wanted to introduce them to other types of sport and, inparticular, sports linked to the Commonwealth Games.

The programme was designed in such a way that it would incorporate dialogue around the impact of the Commonwealth Games, various sports, art techniques and also introduce young people to the work of famous artists.

The work of the young people would be displayed as part of an exhibition by Jim Scullion later in the year.

Young people and staff would like to thank Jim and his son Kevin for their fantastic work. It was thoroughly enjoyable.
